Meet Matshepiso, our Pick n Pay Hero Awards winner in the category ‘Team Player.’ Matshepiso is an outspoken young girl with so much potential. On 30 October, she was selected to give a speech at the prestigious event for Teacher’s Day closing seminar during Teacher’s month. She prepared her speech in only 4 days and her performance touched the hearts of the audience attending, including MEC Angie Motshekga. She was also involved in a documentary on Gender Based Violence where she was featured reciting a poem condemning the brutality of killing women and children. She may be young, but she understands this human rights violation. Matshepiso believes every learner has a unique set of abilities, skills and potential and advocates for support in peer education within the teaching and learning environment. Well done Matshepiso, keep up the stellar work!
