Meet Aariyah, our Pick n Pay Hero Awards winner in the category ‘courage’. During lockdown Aariyah’s house caught on fire and their husky dog, Storm, dragged Aariyah and her mom into the bathroom and laid in front of the door. Tragically, brave Storm died in the fire but saved Aariyah and her mom’s life. Aariyah had an amazing bond with Storm and was devastated that her beloved dog had passed away. She was in and out of hospital but continues to smile every time she thinks of what her best friend and hero did to save her life.
